Day 1 · Understand the calling & the craft

Know what you're saying yes to

Before any tools, get clarity. Today is simply about understanding what a VA is - and whether it fits how you're made.

Take the 5-minute self-check and read your result honestly
Write one sentence: “I want to learn this because…” - your why
Pray over this first step and offer it to God

Day 2 · Discover your strengths

Choose your starting services

You don't need every skill - just a focused few, done well. Today you'll name what you already bring and pick where to begin.

List 5 things you're already good at (organizing, writing, talking with people, being detailed…)
Choose 2-3 starter services (inbox & admin, scheduling, data entry, basic social media, customer care)
Browse the Essential VA Skills and note one you'd love to grow into
Thank God for the gifts He's already given you

Day 3 · Set up your foundations

Build a simple, reliable base

A tidy, dependable setup is what lets clients trust you. Keep it simple - free tools are enough to begin.

Create a clean, professional email (e.g. firstname.lastname@gmail.com)
Get comfortable with Google Workspace basics - Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar
Set up a quiet workspace; check your internet and plan a backup (pocket WiFi / UPS)
Make a free AI account (ChatGPT or Claude) and try writing one helpful prompt

Day 4 · Tell your story

Build your VA resume

A simple, honest one-page resume that highlights your transferable strengths. You have more to offer than you think.

Write a one-page resume: name, a one-line headline, skills, tools, and any experience (even non-VA counts)
Add a warm 2-3 sentence summary of how you help
Use the VA Starter Kit as a template, and save your resume as a clean PDF

Day 5 · Be findable

Build your professional profiles

This is where people will find and trust you. For Filipino VAs, OnlineJobs.ph and LinkedIn are the key two. (You're setting these up now - not job-hunting yet. That comes after rest.)

Create or polish a LinkedIn profile with a clear headline (e.g. “Virtual Assistant - helping founders save 10+ hours a week”)
Create a free jobseeker profile on OnlineJobs.ph - the Philippines' go-to VA platform
Add a friendly, professional photo and list your skills
Write a short, benefit-led “about me” (you help leaders by…)

Day 6 · Practice makes confident

Learn & practice one core skill

Confidence comes from doing. Pick one skill and create a small sample you're proud of - your first portfolio piece.

Choose one skill to practice (e.g. a Canva graphic, an organized inbox/folder system, a simple spreadsheet)
Watch one free tutorial and follow along, step by step
Create one sample piece and save it to a “Portfolio” folder

Day 7 · Sabbath

Rest. You've built well.

The seventh day is not for hustle. As our Father rested from His work, so do we - not because the work is finished, but because we trust the One who finishes it. You laid a foundation this week. Now breathe.

Truly rest - step away from screens and striving
Thank God for everything you built this week
Pray over the work ahead - and the missionaries you may one day serve
Rest in this truth: your worth was never in your output
